The much discussed Indian Premier League (IPL) gets underway tomorrow. Most of the biggest names in the current world game, with the exception of one or two Englishmen, will be involved in the month-long tournament.
One thing bothers me though - no doubt some of the cricket will be spectacular and enthralling, but will it be the same when you don’t really care who wins? I follow England and it’s up and down all the time, but it does at least matter when they do well.
I’m not sure I can get that worked up for this competition. There’s some players I love to watch more than others - but I don’t think one player is going to be enough to make me get excited about any particular “franchise”.
So who do I cheer for - any ideas?
